Today, January 20th, 2009, The United States of America is swearing in it's very first African-American President . As a child in this country we are always told that we can do anything if we put minds to it, even become President of the United States, but we never really believed it when our teachers, parents, and mentors told us this. But they were right! Barack Obama has broken down any remaining walls or barriers that were left standing to hold us back from being all that we could be. And as of 12:05 today this great nation is lead by a Man that was once considered a minority! We as a country have been through a very tough eight years under the Bush administration and now we must have patience with President Obama and his administration, they have alot of cleaning and catching up to do to get our nation back to where it should be. We are in a recession and currently involved in a war and they both don't go along with one another but I am sure that President Obama and his administration will find a way... Now is the time to " pick ourselves up, Dust ourselves off, and begin the work of remaking America"!

On January 15th,2009 at 7 a.m. my mother, Shari Denise Chea, will be undergoing a life threatening brain surgery to help prevent an already dangerous health hazard (Aneurysm) from claiming her life. In November 1996 my mother suffered from a major stroke and aneurysm that almost claimed her life and changed my life. That was a day that I'll never forget, when the EMS arrived they told me that my mother was dead... 4 months later I was reunited with my mother in what i thought I was only possible through a miraculous act of GOD! From that point on I have secretly dreaded the day that my mother could possibly be taken away from me again. And that day is tomorrow and no matter how hard I try to avoid the thought and try to block my feelings tonight may be the last moments I spend with the love of my life, My Mother... I am not looking for anyone's pitty or remorse all I am asking for is (for anyone who reads this) to say a small prayer in behalf of my family and my mother... I LOVE YOU MA.

Survival of the Fittest... Or is it??

We have officially started the new year in a RECESSION! Times are hard for everyone, no matter how good things may seem everyone has had to make some drastic changes in the way they are living. Even though the financial situation is really hectic right now, we as young people can not fold to the pressure of the country's economic status. This is the time to stack your chips (save your Money), I'm not saying that you shouldn't spend your hard earned money but you should be more careful with the way that you are spending it. We have to think twice about the things we want to spend our money on and ask ourselves if there is anything that we need that we can spend that money on instead. I know this is a concept that is new to a lot of people my age and younger, but your money means so much more when you have it in a time of need.

Scandaloso's Birthday Weekend!!!

On January 17th 2009, I will officically be 22 years old. I am going to be celebrating my birthday the whole weekend from the 16th - 18th with a series of events for all ages. Here's a list of all the events planned for my birthday weekend.

January 16th @ 11:30pm The Flight Crew will be holding a birthday dinner in my behalf @ Dallas BBQ's located at 27 West 72nd street. (Take The 1,2, or 3 trains to 72nd street and walk towards Central Park, The restaurant is on the left side of the street) Everyone is expected to arrive between 1130pm and 12am so we can get a good table to account for everyone that'll be attending.
After the Dinner we will be heading uptown to the Bravo Pool Hall & Billards (located on 167th street and Jerome ave, take 4 or D train to 167th street) to drink, play pool and have a great time.
January 17th (My Birthday) The Flight Crew Is inviting everyone to 300 New York(Pier 60 @ 23rd street and the West Side Highway)to party and bowl the night away... everyone is expected to meet up @ 300 by 11 pm ( if you come late its cool but they close at 230am) THIS EVENT IS 21 and Older!!!
January 18th is Flight Crew Football day... The whole Flight Crew will be participating in a full contact football game in Macombs Dam Park on 161st street in the Bronx (behind Yankee Stadium). The Game will start at 10 am all participants are expected to arrive @ the park by 9:30am.

Anyone and Everyone is invited to enjoy my Big 22nd Birthday weekend with me and my team... This is the Official first blog entry. It's 2009 and its time to get focused on being better than I was last year. The only way to do that is to take a look at the things I did last year and seperate the wise decisions from the not so wise decisions and follow the better route. Here is an example of a not so wise decisions. Choosing to represent my friends and myself in such a poor manor with the editing of this video.

The solution: It's 09'... we're grown, its time to act like it...
